General (Rtd) Dato' Seri DiRaja Tan Sri (Dr.) Mohd. Zahidi Zainuddin making the announcement with Dato' Ahmad Suaidi Abdul Rahim.

IPOH, 1 November 2024 - Keeper of the Rulers' Seal Tan Sri Syed Danial Syed Ahmad heads the list of 213 recipients of Perak State Awards and Medals in conjunction with the 68th Birthday Celebration of HRH Sultan of Perak Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah.

Syed Danial, appointed as the Keeper of the Rulers' Seal on 10 January 2011, was conferred the Darjah Dato' Seri Paduka Mahkota Perak (SPMP), which carries the title Dato' Seri.

The same award was also conferred on Auditor-General Datuk Wan Suraya Wan Mohd Radzi and Yee Lee Corporation Executive Chairman Dato' Lim Kok Cheong @ Lim A Heng.

Meanwhile, Economy Ministry Secretary-General Dato' Nor Azmie Diron was bestowed the Darjah Dato' Paduka Cura Si Manja Kini (DPCM), which carries the title Dato'.

The Darjah Dato' Paduka Mahkota Perak (DPMP), which also carries the title Dato' was awarded to 8 recipients.

Among the DPMP recipients were Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris Vice-Chancellor Prof. Datuk Dr. Md Amin Md Taff, New Straits Times Leader Writer Abdul Rahim Mydin, Perak Islamic Religious Department Director Harith Fadzilah Abdul Halim, Raja Permaisuri Bainun Hospital Otorhinolaryngology head Dr. Philip Rajan, National Library Director-General Salasiah Abdul Wahab; Prime Minister's Department Advisory Board Chairman Yong Zarida Sazali, Malaysian Ambassador to the Netherlands Roseli Abdul and Menteri Besar Incorporated (MB Inc.) Chief Executive Officer Anuar Zainal Abidin.

There were six recipients of the Darjah Dato' Pahlawan Taming Sari (DPTS), which carries the title Dato' Pahlawan, namely Bukit Aman Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department Director CP Dato' Sri Mohd Yusri Hassan Basri, Bukit Aman Special Branch Director CP Dato' Sri Mohd Khalid Ismail, Perak Crime Prevention and Community Safety Department Chief SAC Ng Kong Soon, Armed Forces Engineering Services Division Director-General Major General CSM Thevendran, Armed Forces Obstetrician & Gynaecologist Brig. Gen. Dr. Sharifah Sofiah Syed Zainol Abidin and Royal Malaysian Navy Region 1 Commander Rear Admiral Farizal Myeor.

The Darjah Paduka Cura Si Manja Kini (PCM) was awarded to 13 recipients, Darjah Paduka Mahkota Perak (PMP) 28 recipients, Darjah Ahli Cura Si Manja Kini (ACM) 14 recipients, Darjah Ahli Mahkota Perak (AMP) 39 recipients, and Pingat Pekerti Terpilih (PPT) to 61 recipients.

Orang Kaya Bendahara Seri Maharaja General (Rtd) Dato' Seri DiRaja Tan Sri (Dr.) Mohd. Zahidi Zainuddin said the Sultan also conferred the Pingat Jasa Kebaktian (PJK) to 30 recipients, including national lawn bowlers Izzat Shameer Dzulkeple and Aleena Ahmad Nawawi, Muay Thai athlete Nur Amisha Azril Rizal and sepak takraw player Meor Mohamad Zulfikar Mat Amin.

In addition, the Pingat Lama Perkhidmatan (PLP) was awarded to 10 recipients.

The investiture ceremony would be held over two sessions on 9 Nov and 16 Nov at Balairong Seri, Istana Iskandariah in Kuala Kangsar.

He added that the celebration would begin with Surah Yasin Recitation and Doa Selamat at Masjid Sultan Azlan Shah during Friday prayers here today.

Similar ceremonies would be held at all district mosques in Perak, and each led by their respective Territorial Chiefs and District Officers.

The Sultan has also consented to sponsor meals for 7,800 prisoners and detainees in Tapah Prison, Taiping Prison, Kamunting Correctional Centre, Batu Gajah Rehabilitation Centre and State Prison Intermediate House (Kinta and Taiping), which will be distributed today.

The people of Perak are also encouraged to celebrate and enliven the occasion by flying the state flag at their office buildings, business premises and residences.

Also present were Perak Senate Secretary Dato' Seri Ayop Hashim and State Secretary Dato' Ahmad Suaidi Abdul Rahim.
