PENGKALAN HULU, 18 November 2024 – The Perak State Government warmly welcomed the working visit of the delegation from Yala, Thailand to Perak from 18 to 19 November 2024.

The delegation, comprising 23 people, was led by Yala Province Governor Ampon Pongsuwan.

The delegation included the Yala Red Cross Association led by its chairman Chaluai Pongsuwan, who is also the wife of the Yala Province Governor.

Also present were Yala Province Vice-Governor Aumnat Chouthong, Yala Province Deputy Governor Olan Bildsun, Yala Province Office Head Kiattisak Maneerat, Yala Province Public Relations Officer Jammaree Anurata, Yala Province Commercial Relations Director Phussadee Jaycharoen, Yala Province Cultural Officer Sunisa Younising, Yala Province Agriculture Office Director Kasman Yamalee, Betong District Chief Officer Amorn Chumchauy and Betong Mayor Sagoon Lenglakkun.

The arrival of the delegation at the border checkpoint between Pengkalan Hulu, Perak and Betong, Thailand was welcomed by Pengkalan Hulu Chief Assistant District Officer Safuan Saleh, SUK Perak Management Services Division Principal Assistant State Secretary Nur Ashqrun Samsuri and Pengkalan Hulu District Penghulu Ananthirawit A/L Prawat.

Upon arrival, the delegation was taken to Phikul Bunyaram Temple, Kampung Tasek to visit the Siamese village and pray together with the local residents. Next was a courtesy call on the Hulu Perak District Officer Mohamad Fitri Hassan at the Gerik District Council Conference Hall.

Also present was Hulu Perak Territorial Chief Dato' Ar. LA Meor Roslan Meor Ahmad Rashidi.

The visit then continued to Tanjung Tualang, Batu Gajah, where the delegation visited Perak's tourism products, including the National Heritage Dredge, namely TT5 Dredge, Tanjung Tualang Number 5 (TT5) and TT5 Maze Park, ESCAPE Ipoh and Rumah Lat Gallery.

Also present were Kampar Territorial Chief Toh Sedewa Raja Dato' Abdul Talib Abd. Fahmi, Tourism Perak Management Berhad CEO Nurmalis Musa, Perak Museum Board Director Mohamad Amir Mohd Dahalan and MB Inc Tourism Management Manager Shaharin Zainon.

Ending the first day of the visit, a meeting between Perak State Secretary Dato' Ahmad Suaidi Abdul Rahim and Governor Ampon Pongsuwan was held at UNITI Republic @ Fusion Food.

Also present were Perak State Secretary’s wife Datin Che Fauziah Ahmad, Kinta District Officer Zulhisham Ahmad Shukori, Perak State Secretariat department heads and agency representatives.
