IPOH, 7 December 2024 - HRH Sultan of Perak Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah and HRH Raja Permaisuri of Perak Tuanku Zara Salim graced Hospital Fatimah’s Golden Jubilee Celebration at Hospital Fatimah this morning.

Also present were Perak Menteri Besar Dato' Seri Saarani Mohamad and wife Datin Seri Aezer Zubin, Orang Kaya Bendahara Seri Maharaja Gen. (Rtd) Dato' Seri DiRaja Tan Sri (Dr.) Mohd Zahidi Zainuddin and wife Datin Seri Diraja Puan Sri Hajah Rasiah Md. Nor, State Assembly Speaker Dato' Mohammad Zahir Abdul Khalid and wife Datin Aznee Abu Samah, State Secretary Dato' Ahmad Suaidi Abdul Rahim and wife Datin Che Fauziah Ahmad, State Legal Advisor Dato' Azmir Shah Zainal Abidin, State Financial Officer Dato' Mohd Zaki Mahyudin and State Exco Members.

In his speech, Medical Director Dr. Liaw Kok Toon said Hospital Fatimah is always committed to delivering high quality healthcare services to the people.

"Hospital Fatimah is collaborating with the Ministry of Health (MOH) through outsourcing programmes.

"This hospital provides magnetic resonance imaging, cardiac computed tomography scans and ultrasound services to MOH hospital patients to improve healthcare quality and reduce patient appointment waiting times," he said.

Meanwhile, in his speech, Hospital Fatimah’s Hospital Board of Directors Chairman Dato' Michael Cheah said that today's success would not have been possible without the support of all parties.

"Hospital Fatimah was officially opened on 7 December 1974 by the late Sultan Idris A'fifullah Shah, and today, the gracious presence of HRH Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah is a mark of recognition for the service, commitment and dedication demonstrated by the doctors, nurses and all hospital staff," he said.

Concluding the ceremony, His Royal Highness officially launched the celebration and signed a commemorative plaque, then followed by a tour session.
