The Prime Minister at the Perak State Level MADANI Breaking Fast Event.

BAGAN SERAI, 14 March 2025 – Nearly 2,000 people thronged the compound of Sekolah Kebangsaan Dato' Alauddin in Selinsing here today to attend the Perak State Level MADANI Breaking Fast Event with Prime Minister Dato' Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

Dato' Seri Anwar Ibrahim’s arrival at 6.50 pm was accompanied by Perak Menteri Besar Dato' Seri Saarani Mohamad.

Also present were State Assembly Speaker Dato' Mohammad Zahir Abdul Khalid; Women, Family and Community Development Minister Dato' Sri Nancy Shukri; State Secretary Dato' Ahmad Suaidi Abdul Rahim; State Exco Members; Women, Family and Community Development Deputy Minister Datuk Seri Dr. Noraini Ahmad, and heads of state and federal departments.

At the event, Dato' Seri Anwar presented the Sejati MADANI Programme Grant worth RM13.4 million to Kerian District Officer Saidi Shaari, as an initiative to empower the social and economic development of the community.

He also interacted with the orphans and presented duit raya to them as a gesture of concern for the needy.

After the session, he broke fast with the people before performing the Maghrib prayer in congregation.

He then took the opportunity to visit the Sejati MADANI Programme booth, which showcased various government initiatives in helping the people via various sectors, including entrepreneurship, education, and social welfare.

This breaking fast event not only strengthened the relationship between leaders and the people, but also reflected the MADANI spirit in fostering the harmony and well-being of the community.
