IPOH, 28 April 2025 – The Perak State Secretariat (SUK Perak) today commenced the Organisational Strategic Plan (OSP) Development Workshop for 2026 to 2030 in the effort to formulate a more sustainable and inclusive state administration direction, guided by the Perak Sejahtera Plan 2030.
The workshop, from 28 to 30 April 2025 at Hotel Casuarina@Meru, was attended by 50 participants, comprising senior officers and representatives of divisions.
in his speech, State Secretary Dato' Ahmad Suaidi Abdul Rahim said that this strategic plan is not just an administrative document, but a shared commitment in supporting the vision of the Perak Sejahtera Plan 2030: Prosperous Perak, Peaceful People (Perak Makmur, Rakyat Sejahtera).
He stressed on the need to ensure that the new OSP is in line with the three key objectives of the state's well-being— social, economic and political — as well as taking into account the five key needs of the people, including access to healthcare, quality jobs, food supply, affordable housing and human capital development.
Dato' Ahmad Suaidi also emphasised the importance of a strategic approach in resource management and public service delivery that is more efficient, digital and responsive to the needs of the people.
"Each division needs to focus fully so that this plan reflects the current realities and future needs. We are not just planning for departments — we are building the future of the state and providing the best services to the people of Perak," he said.
The Corporate Division has been entrusted in leading the preparation of this strategic plan with the support of experienced strategic planning consultants, while the monitoring will be overseen personally by Dato' Ahmad Suaidi together with the top leadership of SUK Perak.
Also present were Deputy State Secretary (Management) Dato' Nor Sham Rahman, State Economic Planning Unit (UPEN) Senior Deputy Director Haslinda Alias, Corporate Division Principal Assistant State Secretary Anita Amri, and Syarikat Formates Sdn. Bhd. Chief Executive Officer Nasir Subor.
