The Perak Menteri Besar at the Perak Budget 2026 Dialogue session.

IPOH, 30 September 2025 - The Perak State Government held the Perak Budget 2026 Dialogue as a discussion platform with State Exco Members, State Assemblymen and department heads to strengthen the state's financial planning for next year.

The programme began with a presentation of the Perak Budget 2026 Study by Institute Darul Ridzuan (IDR) Chief Operating Officer Azizul Hakim Abdul Karim, which provided a comprehensive overview of the state's economic projections, potential growth sectors, current fiscal position and challenges to be addressed to ensure the continuity of development.

The dialogue session was then chaired by Perak Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Saarani Mohamad, together with State Financial Officer Dato’ Mohd Zaki Mahyudin and Deputy State Secretary (Development) Halizah Sipun, to hear questions and issues raised by the attendees.

Issues raised included economic development, education, health, tourism, housing, agriculture and the digitalisation agenda in state administration.

The organisation of this dialogue reflects the state government's inclusive approach to the budget planning process, by ensuring that the voices of various stakeholders are taken into account.

The input collected from this session will be used as the basis for the preparation of a more comprehensive, realistic and balanced Perak Budget 2026, in line with the government's goal of strengthening the state’s fiscal position while enhancing economic resilience and community well-being.

Also present were State Legislative Assembly Speaker Dato’ Mohammad Zahir Abdul Khalid and State Secretary Dato’ Ahmad Suaidi Abdul Rahim.
