Dato’ Seri Saarani Mohamad’s arrival is greeted by Dato’ Seri Mohammad Zahir Abdul Khalid and Dato’ Ahmad Suaidi Abdul Rahim

IPOH, 14 April 2026 – HRH Sultan of Perak, Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah graced the Official Opening Ceremony of the Fourth Year of the 15th Perak State Legislative Assembly at Bangunan Perak Darul Ridzuan Building.

The arrival of His Royal Highness and HRH Raja Permaisuri of Perak, Tuanku Zara Salim was received by Perak Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Saarani Mohamad, State Assembly Speaker Dato’ Seri Mohammad Zahir Abdul Khalid and State Secretary Dato’ Ahmad Suaidi Abdul Rahim.

The ceremony began with the singing of the Perak State Anthem and the hoisting of the Sultan’s Personal Flag, accompanied by the Kedah Royal Malaysian Police band led by Inspector Syed Mohd Izzudin Syed Salehudin.

His Royal Highness then inspected the Main Guard of Honour, comprising three officers and 103 personnel from the Northern Brigade General Operations Force (GOF), Ulu Kinta, led by Battalion 1 Commanding Officer Superintendent Ooi Jin Bin.

The Main Guard of Honour was led by DSP Mohd Fatahlul Moin Mat Isa and assisted by ASP Mohd Izzat Ayob.

The Standard Bearers were Inspector Mohd Izwan Mohd Salleh and Sub-Inspector Aswadi Bohari.

After that, Their Royal Highnesses were escorted to the Royal Chamber before proceeding to the State Assembly Hall, where Sultan Nazrin delivered the Royal Address for the Opening of the Fourth Year of the 15th Perak State Legislative Assembly.
